Pam Cain is the daughter of Col Oscar Mauterer, MIA in Laos on 2/15/66. She grew up in NJ, Japan, OH, MD and FL and is a proud mother, grandmother and was a Navy wife as well as USAF daughter! Her career choices were often dictated by moves as a military wife, but many years were spent in volunteer management, working with seniors and managing a design/build architect office.
Pam now serves as Executive Assistant and Advisor for the National POW/MIA Memorial & Museum in Jacksonville, FL. She is also Vice President of Mission: POW-MIA, an inclusive, family focused group formed to achieve the fullest possible accounting through collaboration, research, advocating for families, educating the public and honoring those who went missing during all past conflicts.
Her volunteer efforts have included Labrador Retriever rescue groups and youth soccer; they now center on veterans and veteran-related organizations (VVA, American Legion Auxiliary, Rolling Thunder, Navy League) as well as Sons and Daughters in Touch (SDIT) and as a member of the 2022-2024 USAF Survivor Advocacy Council (SAC).
Pam rides with Run for the Wall every May in honor of her father and all those still unaccounted for.
Family and dog time, travel, along with enjoying sports, make her happiest!
